西方人崇尚自由！
不自由，毋宁死！
要封城，毋宁酆都城！
而中国人崇尚自由自在！
何谓自在？
这个“自在”来自梵文的Avalokiteśvara，是玄奘法师把它翻译为观自在菩萨！
《心经》曰：观自在菩萨，行深般若波罗蜜多时，照见五蕴皆空！
这是一部教人如何获得大自在，大智慧，般若智慧的一部修行经文！
要如何能够获得大智慧呢！
就是要行深般若波罗蜜多的多，简单的三个字，戒定慧，就是经文里的那个“多”字，这是梵文“定”的音译。由戒生定，再由定生慧，一切由戒开始，又由大智慧获得自律（戒律）的大自在，与西方的不自由，毋宁死的死思想，简直是不可同日而语！
菠萝蜜是梵文的音译，没有什么意思，一定要翻译的话，就是到彼岸，因为没有什么意思，所以玄奘法师就不翻译。
佛法是喻法，菠萝蜜就是比喻万种修行定的法门，万法归宗嘛，所以玄奘法师也就使用音译而不使用意译！
千余年来，中国人修的就是家家阿弥陀，户户观世音，而所谓的观世音就是观自在菩萨，简称观音！
其修行的法门就是观音法门，人有眼耳鼻舌身五蕴，就是通过耳根观其声音的耳根圆通法门！关照声音，照什么，就是照见五蕴皆空嘛，就这么简单！
观世音就是闻声救苦，这是中国人的所谓宗教，崇尚戒定慧的教育，向内求，不向外求，相信自己，不信有救世主的由来！
所以中国领导人一声令下，令行禁止，14亿人民乖乖地在家休息，守戒，修定！
而西方人的所谓崇尚自由，就来源于他们的宗教信仰，向外求，偏偏他们的神从来就躲起来，神神秘秘地在运作，任由神棍胡搞。他们只好向外跑，像视频里那些无头苍蝇那样四处乱闯，向人多的地方集聚，最好向教堂集聚，进行耶系抗疫！
行也禅，坐也禅，行住坐卧皆是禅，乐疫的各种舞蹈也是禅定，真正的舞者知道我在说什么！
乐疫，中国人就是那么乐观，那么乖地在家度过这艰苦难熬的两个月的抗疫生活！
不是坐在地上像块石头就是定！
最后证实，14亿人民最后获得大自在的全体真正的自由解脱，这是中华民族的伟大思想，这才是真正的佛系抗疫！
有如此的人民，如此的领导，如此的国家，试看谁再敢动侵略中国的狼子野心！

As we fight a worldwide epidemic and recognize we as humans “are all in this together” I wanted to take this propitious moment to consider what a potentially massive huge change in religious viewpoints this Coronavirus crisis may have engendered!
For so much of history humanity has suffered under the yoke of religious beliefs which systematically continue to drive dire discord worldwide.
It is naive for me or anyone to expect such centers of temporal power as the Vatican or Mecca to cede sway over their absurd beliefs but (and this is the heart of my discourse) anyone who realizes the absurdity of religious fantasy does not have to write an op ed like this or rant against it in the public square! Or suffer great personal danger in so acting.
So how does their power get undermined? Well it already is very much so lessened in the minds of a huge number of humans worldwide.
I suspect a substantial similar number of people around the world are simply anxious to ignore in their daily lives any deference to insidiously influential beliefs! Proper human conduct is not owned by the Christian 10 commandments, but by the observance of such parts of that list as “thou shall not kill” and not by thou shall put only one god before you!!!
As our solar observations reveal endless other likely worlds out there the adherence to any fixed orthodoxy becomes more and more absurd.
So why will religion get ultimately back benched!
My opinion: because of the current worldwide efforts to contain and treat Coronavirus.
What a profound message never before posed as it is now with “all hands on deck” around the world.
Yes, the 1918 Spanish flu infected 300 million people—one quarter of the then world’s population— and killed 50 to 100 million, but its viral origins were not then discovered. No doubt grieving those immense human losses was used by religions worldwide to honor the dead. No problem except no cure either.
Now humans, not some high priest, are heroes and better yet concreate solvers of this humanistic medical crisis.
Never again will this electronically connected world population be unexposed to this revelation!!
Religious fantasy can no longer be offered as a route to human survival. We humans are in charge and responsible.
What a profound moment which may not be immediately recognized but in a short time (in cosmic terms) organized power-seeking religions will lose face if not place!
There must be some better educational use St Patrick’s Cathedral and all those other lush palaces of religious righteousness which in time no doubt will be found.
Thus those long time no no’s such as access to contraception or safe abortion or the right to die on one’s own schedule will be more and more ignored and made accessible by and to the growing numbers of humanistic people who see the light on why freedom from thoughtless religious orthodoxy is vital.
So, whether Pope or others get it, the die is cast and the example of worldwide response to COVID-19 could well in retrospect be seen as the main instigator of relieving humans from religious bondage.

为什么基督教将东方的轮回说删除？
为什么基督教将东方的轮回说删除？
其实，天使路西法被上帝杀掉之后就轮回成撒旦，成为上帝永远的天敌，这是上帝的业报，但基督教一直在否认有轮回的说法！
同时，基督徒又不放过撒旦，把上帝的一切无能归咎于撒旦的存在，使上帝永远无法清除他的业障，这是否就是上帝的原罪？
这是要假设有上帝的存在。只要你虚构，他就会在你的整个生命中伴随着你的意识存在，与你纠缠不清，这就是宗教！
万般带不走，只有业随身！
曾经在13至30岁之间到过印度学习佛法的耶稣是相信有轮回与业报之说的！
自他承认自己是上帝的儿子之后，就要相信上帝杀了撒旦之后，必会有业报至上帝的儿子身上，犹太人会杀了上帝的儿子，这些虚构就会一辈子与你同在！
可惜耶稣没有将如何消除业障的方法告诉其门徒就往生了！為什麼宇宙就像是被「精心安排」的一樣到處都充滿了「恰到好處」
2,500年前，佛陀就对其弟子马胜比丘开示说：“诸法因缘生，诸法因缘灭”，后来马胜比丘对佛陀的大弟子舍利弗说：“我不大了解师父在说什么，但是‘我佛大沙门常作如是说’！ ”
这就是世人所知道的著名缘起论Dependent Origination，意思就是说，一切都是因缘和合而生。人们觉得恰到好处，是由于人类受到五种妄想与执著的束缚，而不能证悟。由于人们无法证悟，所以佛陀就留在世上为众生说这一个能够实证的佛法49年。
霍金在他的第三本科普著作《大因缘》The Grand Design第三章，提出了Model Dependent Realism “模型相即相入实相论”，所谓的相即相入，就是因缘和合而生。所以霍金在解释了何谓模型相即相入实相论之后，就直接说，宇宙可以自我有其充足的理由律来满足其现在样式的存在，不需要造物主。
所谓的The
Grand Design，是霍金对有神创化论的伟大设计Grand Design的一个反讽，霍金实在是在说相即相入的实相，也就是因缘的实相，故我把他的这一本科普著作翻译为《大因缘》。就如科学家把基本的粒子翻译成上帝粒子，也是一个反讽，科学家有时实在是很可爱的。
霍金的Model
Dependent Realism “模型相即相入实相论”正是夯实了缘起论Dependent Origination的理论基础。我不晓得霍金是否如叔本华那样，读过佛陀的经文，但是物理学家与哲学家所使用的语言概念应该是相通的，要不然就会很难相互沟通。
因为霍金在书中提出一个很重要的概念，就是Observer观察者，正是有了这一个观察者“我”，才能主宰了我们这一个恰到好处的宇宙的一切，佛弟子称之为娑婆世界，也主宰了多重宇宙或称之为佛土的一切。见霍金的另一本科普著作《果壳中的宇宙》The Universe in a Nutshell里，就有非常精彩的描述。
正如佛陀一出世就一手指天一手指地说“天上天下，唯我独尊”，这一个“我”，就是那一个观察者Observer，唯有Observer能够主宰我们的宇宙的发展方向，能够主宰到它如此地恰到好处。
所以，做人就要有自信，不要迷信神魅，求人不如求自己（我），要向内“我”求，不要向外求！
向内求才能获得智慧，向外求只能受制于神魅，受制于神棍！

陈国相新书发布会
我的中文发言稿如下：
陈国相学长，各位来宾，大家下午好！
承蒙陈学长的邀请，我才能有这一个难得的机会，出席他的英文新书《我的南大故事——一间人民大学的缘起与缘灭》发布会，并与大家来分享我与南大的故事。我是南大第十三届经济系普通学位毕业的学生，我们这一届的学生是要获得新加坡政府发出的大学入学准证才能进入南洋大学学习。
由于从小学开始，我就是一名很活跃的运动员；是真正的运动员，不是搞政治运动的运动员；从华中开始，我就是新加坡六七十年代国家排球队的代表，同时，篮球我也代表了的新加坡中学联队，并获得当年篮总杯的冠军。
田径、游泳、足球都曾是校队或系代表，乒乓在国手林立的南洋华侨中学，我在中一时就获得了全校的第七名。因此，我在南大三年普通学位学习的经历，基本上天天都在球场上。
虽然我从小就向往杜进财，吴庆瑞，蒂凡那，林清祥以及南大杰出校友谢太宝博士等反殖民地统治所推行的社会主义，但我并不觉得南大是一所被人有意抬举的所谓共产主义的摇篮。
南大对我的意义，主要是在加拿大断断续续五六年上研究院精彩的学习经历，但是基本上也是在加拿大打排球，代表校队，当校队教练，代表校外的AA联赛队以及代表著名的多伦多市华人飞虎排球队，而且到哪里都是打主攻手。
像我这样一位不顾学习正业，只爱运动的学生，我的经历从另外一个角度说明了新加坡完整的华文教育，从小学、中学直至新加坡南洋大学所培养出来的一名很普通毕业生，要在世界顶尖大学取得更高的学位，不是一件困难的事。
我这一辈子读书最困难也是这一生最获益的日子，是我在新加坡南洋华侨中学的时代，要背诵很多唐诗宋词，第二难的是在南洋大学，最轻松的阶段，要算是在加拿大的研究院，到处游学，打工，打球度过的。
我是经过加拿大三间著名大学，即约克大学，渥太华大学，滑铁卢大学的考验，我是经历了从自费留学到各大学校颁发给我的助学金，一切免费，过着职业学生的生活。我的意思就是当时我的职业就是学生，不同于那些专门干着打小报告，出卖与陷害同学的职业学生。（这一段不在现场讲话中出现）
与新加坡政府对南洋大学态度截然不同的是，南洋大学的学位是受加拿大各大学府尊重与承认的。这些尊重与承认都是建立在我之前的十二届校友的杰出成绩所积累出来的，我借此机会在此对他们表示由衷的感谢！
可以这么说，新加坡政府一直以来对我母校的各种诋毁，只有我到了加拿大才完全体会了解到，那是一种彻底的诬蔑。我的教育基础和人格的建立，也是在我人生读书最初的14年中小华校阶段里打下来的，这种浓浓的中华文化学习氛围，在新加坡政府消灭华校之后，已经一去不复返了。
因为受华文教育，使我喜欢也爱唱各种方言的地方戏曲，所以当有人为了他的政治目的，用尽各种无中生有，似是而非的说辞，使用各种卑鄙手段来消灭新加坡的华文教育体系与各种方言母语时，他注定这一辈子与我有不共戴天之仇。
我真正开始研究学问，是我从商场上退休下来才开始的，这些年来，我四处参加世界各地的国际研讨会，受邀演讲中华优秀的文化，弘扬中华文明，这都拜我14年的中小学的华文教育所赐，我感恩至今！

人死后生命会活下去
2009年著名物理学家霍金，在其科普著作The Grand Design，我把它翻译为《大因缘》，中提出了Model Dependent Realism，我把它翻译为“模型相即相入实相论“，夯实了缘起论Dependent Origination的基础。
三年后的2012年美国生物学家罗伯特·兰札Robert Lanza，出版了Biocentrism《生命中心主义》，提出了”意识是不会死亡”。
1814年—1819年间，著名哲学家叔本华完成了他的代表作品《作为意志和表象的世界》，其第一句话就是”世界是我的意志“，”世界是我的表象“，而意识就是意志的载体。叔本华用西方的哲学阐释了佛陀的思想。
两千五百年前，释迦族的圣哲释迦穆尼，在菩提树下证悟到了缘起论的十二因缘，说出了无名缘行，行缘识...生缘老死的三世因缘，早就证实意识是不会”死亡“只会轮回，并在世说法49载。
科学的实证不单可以通过物质流，亦可通过意识流来证实，两千五百年前的意识流的实证，要到两千五百年后才能由科学家们通过物质流来证实，两千五百年对于人的寿命来说是漫长的，但对于宇宙来讲，那只是一刹那间。
